Link Aggregation Group (LAG) technology

The Ethernet access protection feature is based on link aggregation group (LAG) technology and uses an active standby link to automatically re-route traffic to a secondary link when the primary link goes down. The LAG feature is available for the 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps Ethernet aggregation points service. This newly introduced diversity feature, complements BCE Global – USA’s existing diversity features such as Access diversity, Switching Centre diversity and Entrance diversity and enables BCE Global – USA to offer the most robust availability protection required by customers.
